Instructor: Ida Ristner Time: Tuesdays at 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM Start date: week 20, May 12 - June 2, 2026 Number of hours and sessions: 3h x 4 times Booking and registration: When you pay for the course, you are automatically registered and booked in your name for the course you purchase. Full refund for 14 days (according to the Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act) from the date of payment. After this, a cancellation fee of SEK 500/spot will be deducted if you cancel after these 2 weeks. However, you can change your course free of charge to another time slot, subject to availability. The earlier you rebook, the greater the chance, of course, that you will get the spot you wish to switch to. Rebooking must, however, take place at least 14 days before the start of the course, after which 50% of the course fee will be charged. In the event of a canceled course on our part, a full course fee will be refunded.

Course structure
You will learn various hand-building techniques (no wheel throwing), how to best create different forms, various decoration techniques, as well as an overview of engobes and underglazes. We also learn about wedging, clay recycling, and other aspects of the ceramic process. Depending on your current skill level, your instructor will help you further develop.
During the course, we will progressively fire pieces that are dry enough. By the last session, everything made during the course will be bisque fired, as we will then glaze our pieces together. You can either dip in transparent glaze or, after a review of brush-on glazes, you can also use those if desired (small Mayco jars are available for purchase at SEK 50/ea, approx. 35ml).
Session 1: Mandatory. Focus: review of basic techniques
Session 2: Focus: review of various decoration techniques, as well as engobes and underglazes
Session 3: Continue working on your pieces
Session 4: Mandatory: Glazing
Once the pieces are glazed, it will take approximately another 5-6 weeks before they are ready for pickup. We will send an email as soon as the pieces are ready for pickup.
The instruction primarily consists of practical work under the guidance of the course leader. Maximum 13 participants
The course fee includes:
