Structure
You will learn various hand-building techniques (no throwing), how to create different shapes in the best way, various decorating techniques, as well as an overview of engobes and underglazes. We also learn about wedging, clay recycling, and other aspects of the ceramic process. Depending on your current skill level, your instructor will help you further develop.
During the course, we will successively fire what is dry enough. By the last session, everything made during the course will be bisque fired, as we will then jointly glaze our works. You can either dip in transparent glaze or, after a review of brush-on glazes, you can also use them if desired (small Mayco jars are available for purchase at 50 SEK/jar, approximately 35ml).
Session 1: Mandatory. Focus: review of basic techniques
Session 2: Focus: review of various decoration techniques as well as engobes and underglazes
